I Found An Interesting Article

'Luxury beliefs', a great concept in a great article explaining how our 'elites' (it really hurts to use that word with today's stupid wealthy and influential people) show off their status by means of moral superiority.

Insightful article. Makes me remember a saying that 'when a person has achieved wealth, it is significance that he craves'. Isn't it true? How better to do this than to embrace certain beliefs and have others emulate you?
I would be afraid of ruining my holiday.
@Cierzo so do tell...what do you think might be an example of one of their "luxury beliefs"? Oh wait I saw the name Veblen...so I know the score...

You know what?

Listen to some zen poetry.

There a lot of luxury in those "beliefs"..heh!

@Whiterosesociety I did not know Veblen until today, just took a glance at his thought, and as a whole I agree with him, more than with labour-worshippers like Adam Smith or Marx.
@Cierzo whoops

not my day to try to defend the rights of everyone, lowly workers included

but I do. Trust me

Bye now..have some partying to do.

Yes I hate those people calling themselves elites too, they are stupid and it s so stupid. The world is unfair because you can call yourself whatever unjustified if you are wealthy, influential based on your wealth, and wealthy wannabes.

Was there ever a time like this?
Cierzo · M
@Sssslm I think in ancient times it was like that.

@Cierzo if you read the Bible you can get a glimpse of how people behaved in the ancient times. So many bad guys already existed then 😏
