I am making silver jewellery.

I am a jewellery student. I am in the Third Year. We started with pewter and then progressed to copper. Now for the first time I am going to make an enamelled brooch with silver. We have to buy our own silver. The college doesn't supply it like copper! I found out why when I tried to order a sheet of silver that would be enough to make 6 brooches. It was £237! So I order for one brooch at a time until my first shop on Bond Street is a going concern!

This week I started to work with silver. I made hooks and eyes out of Sterling silver and soldered them onto the brooch I had cut out of silver. It's scary working with precious metals! My teacher watched me all the time.
