Yes kindness is punished but it's not causal. You were kind because you care, and only those who care can truly be punished. Because you have something to lose.

That's why you have to be strong to stay kind. It's the harder route, but I think it's worth it.

Being kind is a virtue as long as it's not attached to expectations. I wish I had that skill of being kind
