I have never and would never ask anyone to prove anything personal. I'm just tired of talking to the same people through different accounts and people who insist they are the people in their profile pics that they clearly found online. To be clear, I have only asked when I had good reason to : )

I get so annoyed by people constantly telling me to prove myself. I don't ask for their personal information ever! And if they're insistent that i prove I'm real, it tells me they're looking for something I'm not. Whether 5 minutes of fun or relationship. And I'm not looking for either.

I so agree. Why be someone else. Be comfortable in your own skin. Why hide behind an avatar or someone else picture. I can't help but think this is highly unhealthy and very damaging to ones self worth and self esteem. I wish similar worlds would make you tie your account to your Facebook. You still could choose to not show yourself but at least it would limit the number of duplicate and fake accounts.

It's remarkable isn't it? I'm pretty sure now that while I was on EP I had the same person try to get closer to me through at least three different profiles. When EP said it was closing I went to Relate To That, under my same profile name, and met someone there who I know had two profiles for sure. So now I am here on Exp2 and still just me with my same profile....let's see who comes knocking this time.

If someone really wants to put in that kind of time and effort more power to them. It's only their time being wasted. Good conversation is good conversation regardless of whether or not the person is fake.

I hate people faking who they are, it's really annoying! What if you talk to someone you find intetesting, but you're using something fake instead of yourself? It makes no sense!

The thing is, most fakers (not fakirs, although I guess it amounts to the same thing) do not realise that it's actually kinda easy to know when someone is fake. Sixth sense perhaps?
