I Laughed So Hard It Hurt

Wound up talking to the TA for a psych class. She's really nice and super serious type so it was surprising when she said "Well psychology is 95% bulls*** anyways. Hard not to pass most of these classes".

THAT is the kind of honesty I like.

It's a lot of memorising of case studies that often completely contradict each other :)

@HorrorshowHijabi Big advantage of degree level, open book :) Leaves you able to focus on higher-order thinking as that's what you'll be questioned on, increasingly, though it really is still a bit stifling until you reach PhD level, and even then it's restricting :/
@PhilDeep I'm not even going near that level. I just have a psych requirement for my lit major. I've no idea why buuuut meh.

@HorrorshowHijabi I majored in Lit., too.
I fulfilled my psych requirement by taking a CLEP exam. Look into CLEP. It can save you a lot of time, energy and money.

That is absolutely terrifying. Fuzzy science at it's best...and BS at it's worst.
@4meAndyou Psychology is just philosophy with a fascination about daddy issues anyways. Not even a real science. I'd rather be failing in a physics class because at least I'd learn something.

@HorrorshowHijabi I've heard that most psychology majors are neurotics who go into that field of study because they are, themselves, quite disturbed...and mentally unhealthy...hence their deep interest in the subject.
