Which one weighs more: a pound of feathers or a pound of rock?

I know my answer. It took me a bit to understand why and this riddle was from a long time ago.

They are both 1 pound.

Though rock has higher density which means per certain volume it will be heavier. That means it would occupy less space compared to the feathers.

There is a certain part of the world where gravity is a bit stronger..making a pound of rocks actually heavier..but thats besides the point..its an actual video from the youtube channel scishow explaining all that.

@Dancingxghost And it's funny that you didn't answered my question, but I see that you're occupied on trying to change my mind. Still, most answered this question and they got it right. 😉👍

@xSiFiGamer2016x sure buddy cherry on top is I have actual evidence of my answer..and when its not even the same materials cause it has to be rock..lol..man you must be great in school..

@Dancingxghost I sure did. I got a diploma, being one of the top 16 smartest students from the 12th grade, all honor roll, which is mostly Magnum Cum Laude, and went through college. Yup. I was great. 😉😎

They're the same, though if you asked "Which would cause more damage when thrown, a pound of rock or a pound of feathers?" I'd go with feathers. The emotional damage alone of someone throwing feathers would be insane.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
They're equal because they're both a pound regardless of the commodity.

The pound of feathers, because a pound of rock is condensed, while a pound of feathers needs to be so big that at the very top the gravitational pull would be fractionally weaker and there would need to be fractionally more feathers to register as a pound on the scale at ground level 🤣

@plungesponge ..... what?
They’re the same.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
They both weigh the same.

Both the same 👍

Really? 😂
xSiFiGamer2016x · 22-25, M
@gummybears That's kinda related to my question. If you don't wanna answer, then don't. It's easier that way. 👍
gummybears · F
@xSiFiGamer2016x it is your answer
xSiFiGamer2016x · 22-25, M
@gummybears Yeah, I know, but I've asked everyone.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
A pound of helium 😉
xSiFiGamer2016x · 22-25, M
@Zaphod42 "A pound of helium"? Where did that even come from? 😋
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@xSiFiGamer2016x I pulled it out of thin air...where most helium is pulled from 😂
xSiFiGamer2016x · 22-25, M
@Zaphod42 Ok, you got me there. 🤣😂
