Which one weighs more: a pound of feathers or a pound of rock?

I know my answer. It took me a bit to understand why and this riddle was from a long time ago.

The pound of feathers, because a pound of rock is condensed, while a pound of feathers needs to be so big that at the very top the gravitational pull would be fractionally weaker and there would need to be fractionally more feathers to register as a pound on the scale at ground level 馃ぃ
