Considering all the posts in connection with m*sterb*ting I thought I would contribute for fun.

Did you know that Kellogg's corn flakes was originally invented as an anti masterb*tion food ?

Mr Kellogg worked in a mental institute and being a Catholic he was troubled by all those patients strangling their chickens and wasting all that blessed sperm.

He thought feeding them cereal for breakfast instead of meat would help somehow. It didn't help but hey...we got corn flakes thanks to the paranoia of the Catholic church.
Weird but true.

Catholic nuns came up with resistance machines to for physical therapy for polio victims. Later some of these same type machines were produced for a company called Tan & Tone, they also help tone up flabby bodies & help with weight loss.

@Wraithorn I got a robocall with an artificial voice saying my social security number was compromised & to call their number to speak to a representative so they could help me. As the recording ended they said “Have a blessed day.” I just laughed, no govt. entity says that when they are conducting official business.

@cherokeepatti Lol. That's tragicomedy.

@Wraithorn They don’t even say that in Chick-Fil-A and I went there today.

W. K. Kellogg was actually a Seventh Day Adventist.

@MrsKatherineArch I see...thanks for that. According to that his religion would have had something to do with his invention anyway. So we have him and seventh day adventism to thank then.

Yes, there were a lot of crazy ideas back then. @Wraithorn

He was a fun crazy guy. His original corn flakes were pretty healthy, too.

Man, I've always loved cornflakes. 😂
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@5thApprentice They are nice, I agree.

@Wraithorn We make a recipe for baked chicken with crushed cornflakes, it is really good.

Kellog was a loon.
Read T.Coraghessan Boyle's book.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@Picklebobble2 So he was a loon looking after other loons ?

I wonder what makes "it" taste better? Corn Flakes or meat?
That’s fascinating. But the Kelloggs themselves were 7th Day Adventists.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@bijouxbroussard Thanks I was just reading about that. It would seem that his religion still played a role.
@Wraithorn Yes, it is similarly cultish and repressed.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@bijouxbroussard Yeah, my father suddenly became 7th day at one stage but only because it was convenient for him at the time.
