Catholic nuns came up with resistance machines to for physical therapy for polio victims. Later some of these same type machines were produced for a company called Tan & Tone, they also help tone up flabby bodies & help with weight loss.

@cherokeepatti That's interesting. Good for them.

@Wraithorn At least they did something good. They also did a lot of bad, running hospitals in Canada and getting doctors to hospitalize children for such things as wetting the beds & then doping them up & telling the parents they were mental...so they could charge the govt. a huge amount of money. That was a big scandal.

@cherokeepatti What ? Nuns (women) did that ? Damn...
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Wraithorn Doctors working for Catholic hospitals, they have nuns working in them but the Catholic Church was scamming the govt. by doping up small children & charging the govt. Cruel & evil thing to do.

@cherokeepatti Indeed. The Vatican does seem to have a love for gold.

@Wraithorn They have more scams than the telephone scammers do.

@Wraithorn I got a robocall with an artificial voice saying my social security number was compromised & to call their number to speak to a representative so they could help me. As the recording ended they said “Have a blessed day.” I just laughed, no govt. entity says that when they are conducting official business.

@cherokeepatti Lol. That's tragicomedy.

@Wraithorn They don’t even say that in Chick-Fil-A and I went there today.
