Finally found the opportunity to disappear from my abusive bf

However..due to him being a cop, I just didn't trust anyone to not tell him and that unfortunately includes homeless shelters because I'm sceptical about what he could unravel.

I left my state and rented a hostel with the lil I saved up but now I'm basically just trying to survive and my friend told me that he reported me missing and in his report noted that I'm mentally unstable.

The worst part is that I found out I'm pregnant.So currently I'm just trying survive as I have no money left and have been getting food from the food bank and stuff. I feel like I've hit rock bottom but I keep telling myself that the only way I can go from here is up. I couldn't stay in that relationship and I feel sooo alone in all this but I also wanted something different from the hand that I've been dealt in life.

it's okay you'll be safe there. i know lot's of women who have had to stay in them. get yourself some pepper spray JUST in case you ever get attacked. i was attacked a few months ago and had it in my pocket and it saved my life.

and honestly if he is going to go that far to report you missing you might as well go to the police where you are and let them know the REALITY of the situation since you're safe now.

and you have not hit rock bottom. i lived out of my car for a week when i left my abuser. it's only the beginning. i had to buy the clothes and food i needed at the store and go back to my car and go to work and sleep in my car. i had knives in my car.

You will be fine. it's good the baby isn't here YET. that's another plus. it really sucks living out of your car with kids. Search around for local assisted living facilities. THEY ALWAYS NEED HELP. and they will hire people off the street because you don't need any special licensing to work there. you'll get paid minimum wage but you will VERY LIKELY get the job in less than in week. go on indeed. call the abuse hotline and they can provide you with a lot of really helpful free resources.

@DeluxedEdition What assisted living facilities? I want a job there too. How do you know about their hiring policies? I am serious and my peronal situation is rather endangered as well. And jobs are often way more hidden than most people imagine.

@Elevatorpitches assisted livings are similar to nursing homes only you don't need special qualification to apply, so anyone can get a job. it's really good because you can work unlimited hours so in a situation such as yours and hers you can rack up a good amount in two weeks. it can buy you enough time to get some things done. i highly suggest you get on indeed.com or monster, or career builder, job is job, these are popular job websites. look up "assisted living facility" or "resident aide." or "assisted living" these places always need help!

@StayUP when i was going through it, i was helped and supported by a bunch of wonderful women who had been through the same thing i went through. we have to help/support/uplift each other 🤗
