Today was my first day Planting trees for the Bassendean Preservation Group

We Planted 316 trees of various species endemic to the area.
The ground was compacted clay type soil. Even after winter and a very heavy downpour yesterday.
Hard work indeed.
3 hours, less morning tea. About 16 volunteers were there.
Here are about 100 plantings.
Not much to see because they are about 1 year old seedings.

That's probably what will be needed here after all these fires. President be damned. Soil erosion is a serious problem.

@Gusman No. Not even our governor is really that ecologically savy. And he is as liberal as they come.

Oh he will and has set some climate change priorities yet those priorities are on the corporate level. Like with going gasoline-less by 2035. Yet money for reforestation will always be on the back burner. Not showy enough. 😞

@DeWayfarer Can we keep this away from politics and just focus on the good work being done here? :P

@SW-User he asked, and it's his post! 🤷‍♂️
