I Wish I Didn't Have Emotions

I feel pain and I feel sad. I know it’s hard to believe but I struggle with it daily.

Hi Lilangel. These are tough times. And life is stinky if not crummy sometimes. (Feel free to use stronger words if you will). And on top of that our emotions don’t always work in a “logical” way. Sometimes we break don in tears, other times we are filled with anger. Other times we feel lost. To FEEL is to be Human. There is nothing wrong with that.

The key is for us to GUIDE and Rein our emotions NOT to have total control over them. That means when you are in pain, find safety and cry out the pain. We can’t ignore it and we CAN’T suppress it. That will screw us up so bad. We can’t NOT be sad or it will build and build and build until we can’t take it anymore. Doing this will take care of natural and periodic sadness.

But for chronic sadness and pain, there are other things you can do too. Find someway to lift up your soul. Church works for a lot of ppl. Music works for others. Cooking and prayer for me. Something constructive in your spare time to help you know you are doing something worthwhile.

In any case we will be rooting for you.
