I Got The Cane In School 6 Of The Best

Most canings were administered in the headteachers' studies where we were either caned singly or with our fellow offenders.

Occassionally a large group would be caned. This was usually when teachers had made a concerted effort to catch smokers or there was a crackdown of lateness, uniform violations or some other petty rule.

In those cases, all those due to receive a caning would be assembled in the gym or the school hall. A few teachers would administer the canings. The number of teachers varied with the number of us to be caned.

We were all, boys and girls, caned in front of each other and our ages ranged from 11 to 18.

It was like that in all my schools - infants', juniors' and secondary. The rules applied equally to both boys and girls.

It was like that at my Primary School, both boys (mostly) and girls got smacked over the teacher's knee at the front of the class and sometimes during break time.

@MAJFF There were a few OTK in 1st year juniors but the vast majority were bent over a chair or desk. I know what you mean about the embarrassment factor.

@MAJFF OTK at school could be embarrassing but classroom slipperings (bent over) were so frequent they weren't embarrassing.

@barney1 It was similar at my Primary School. Over the knee was used throughout the school, including the headmaster, but he put you over one knee.
