I Verify My Profile

I have verified my profile because I think it's best. I have however set the privacy settings on the verification photo to "Friends only".
I don't think everyone should verify if they are uncomfortable with it, but we honestly give more information away to Google every time we surf the web.

I notice that some users see Similar Worlds as being a "purely anonymous" site.
At no point have we ever marketed SW as being specifically for anonymous usage.

[c=#004A59]Similar Worlds is a place to connect with: People Similar to yourself[/c]

What level of privacy a user chooses to have is purely up to them.

We do not ask of force anyone to submit: Actual Date of Birth, actual Name, etc...
Nor do we force you to submit actual photos of yourself.

If the Photo Verification or any other feature doesn't interest you, you can simply not use it.

Precisely this.

Each user can decide for themselves how much they are willing to share about their personal lives or identity.

No user should feel bullied for sharing any more or less about themselves.

[sep]

Users are completely free to use Similar Worlds anonymously.

What we do not tolerate though, is stealing someone elses identity, then tricking/manipulating other users with that false identity.

Already since the release of our Photo Verification feature, numerous users who were doing this have been spotted, and further manipulation of users has been prevented.
@Andrew 👍 thank you for sharing clearly. 🙏🏼

@Andrew WOW!😟That is awful people would steal someone's identity and use it so blatantly?! I'm glad the photo verification has helped catch them. It's part of the reason I want no more of my personal photos on line.
