I Hate the Holidays

People put on fake smiles and pretend everything is great. Families get together and eat too much then argue or sleep. I hate it when someone says Happy Thanksgiving when they don't know me.
Christmas is the worst. People saying peace on earth and merry Christmas and they don't mean it. They're worried about what they're getting for Christmas or how they're going to pay for Christmas presents.
I hate holidays. They can't end too soon.

@Fernie: nah I'm good right where I am. People have done their work on me I won't let them do that anymore

@tilagirl: Exactly! People can't do anything to us unless we allow them to. Saying people fake smile during the holidays isn't fair. The holidays are a happy time for many people...I don't happen to be one of those people but I enjoy others happiness.

@Fernie: That's a fair comment. Everyone does their own thing, which is just as fair. But ... It makes more sense to live and let live without going deeper into our personal beliefs than is needed. Good comment :)
