I Hate the Holidays

People put on fake smiles and pretend everything is great. Families get together and eat too much then argue or sleep. I hate it when someone says Happy Thanksgiving when they don't know me.
Christmas is the worst. People saying peace on earth and merry Christmas and they don't mean it. They're worried about what they're getting for Christmas or how they're going to pay for Christmas presents.
I hate holidays. They can't end too soon.

@tilagirl: yeah and it's frustrating. Some people feel obligated when they should know better that the real point in celebrating Christmas is celebrating it with a willing and joyous heart. It's actually better if they just stop celebrating it if they don't feel like it, or not give gifts if they don't really mean it.

@tilagirl: for you maybe.. not for me though, I like it because it gives me an opportunity to show my appreciation to those people that I don't get to see everyday but have given me so much without (them) realizing it. It's also one of those days that I get to make some people happy without needing to have any reason for doing so.
