Yeah. Unusual as it may be, this is a discriminatory offer. I'm not certain if there are laws governing hiring for private babysitters. There certainly would be for a daycare center position, I'd think.
Idk if I'd be so quick to judge though. It could very well be that upon seeing that the child(or parent) is AA, past applicants have bailed or declined the position - perhaps in front of the child?

@hlpflwthat I imagine laws vary from place to place. A private sitter or nanny would be considered a more vulnerable position. Many governments realize this, and would take steps to prevent abuse.
