I Think Being Crazy Is a Sane Response to a Crazy World

The 1916 Summer Games were cancelled because of WW1.
The 1940 and '44 Summer and Winter Games were cancelled because of WW2.
This isn't that.
Most athletes don't scare easily. They're not cowardly. They've dedicated their lives to competing and to disregard that means fear wins out over strength.
Let the people sitting at home be afraid. That seems to be all too common with certain segments of our population these days.
Screw that.

The Olympics is a farce anyway.
The communist bloc and the Americans screwed it decades ago by introducing 'Professional athletes' into what was supposed to be an amateur event!
Also. As with FIFA the world governing body of professional soccer. I suspect it's riddled with dodgy deals and unscrupulous wheeler dealing.
Quite how some of these places get to be selected is farcical.!
And if there's a major disease floating about.....It's unlikely to end well.
