This is really accurate but I never thought I'd experience all this.

When it's the people you look up to and trust the most, it's easy to stay in denial. It's natural to make excuses for our loved ones. Acknowledging that there is a problem that needs to be addressed is one step closer to escaping such a situation!

@assemblingaknob I agree. For a really long time, I took her side despite what she did and as you indirectly stated I was blind. I regret being blind because I loved her. Even though its a bit late, I realized that she had to be cut off. I lost almost everything in the process. I lost myself, my sanity and my life. I'm trying to reclaim what's lost and make up for all the blunders that I did.

I don't feel sad anymore that she's out of my life but I feel sad for trusting a toxic person like her. For giving my honesty and integrity to a person who never deserved it in the first place.

@Beatbox34 you could not help it. When we are born , us little kids absorb it all and parents are like gods to show us what is truth and how to conduct ourselves and most of it they are supposed to KNOW what is good but you have been denied the goodness in yourself.

@Beatbox34 If you look at it this way, you have a unique point of view now and if you hadn't have met this person, you may have fallen for a worse one in the future. I think things like that teach you to stay strong.

@SatanBurger I agree.

It took me some time to realize that but the way she was selfish spoke volumes about her.
