I’m not proud of this but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between a $300 belt and a $10 one.

Me either. Brand names do not impress me.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
@Darkskiescoming Me too 😂
Darkskiescoming · 51-55, M
@Keepitsimple I still go to the sales rack in the Men's department first...LOL
@Keepitsimple I need the spa to make me look presentable.

The cheap belts at Walmart were usually returned. Had one guy return a couple after wearing each one for a week and they cracked and then ask me where to buy a good belt. I told him if I was a man I’d go somewhere that sold real leather. A Western store or even a Mexican market would be better than the crap Walmart sells.

@cherokeepatti

Amazon isn't much better. Bought two that lasted about eight months each.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@PatKirby that’s at least 8-1/2 months longer than Walmart belts though 😂
Ingwe · F
they hurt the same but the cheap one will break sooner
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Ingwe hurt? lol... oooh..... kinky
4thdimensiondream · 61-69, M
@Ingwe good to know!

Best belts I have are made by Mennonites. You could pull a truck with them they are made so well
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Cheap belts tear up within the first few times they are worn….they crack. When I worked at. Walmart men would be bringing them back for a refund. They would ask me where they could buy a thicker leather belt and I told them some of the Mexican stores that sell groceries plus boots and other leather goods from Mexico would be a good place to look, they use real leather and not the cheap stuff.
you need to become a better shopper. lessons available from Sara but I'm not cheap
@SweetMae Hi Mae hot and muggy here hope your comfortable in your neck of the woods
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@saragoodtimes I'm thankful for AC!
@SweetMae aren't we all. had to live without it for 2 weeks but all is well again
Cheap belts are ugly. Expensive belts are intentionally ugly. Extremely expensive belts are pretty.
4thdimensiondream · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 I love my $10 one and I think it looks expensive! I don’t wear it too often though so it will probably last a long time.
TexChik · F
Or a piece of rope?
4thdimensiondream · 61-69, M
@TexChik absolutely not. I think it’s very nice. I guess it ain’t leather though. It really looks good. I’ll take a pic if you want to see.

@TexChik I thought you asked if it was a piece of rope.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Me either!! Just a brand name most of the time.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
$290 difference
Jonjdw · 46-50, M
I got a regular belt in the leather shop had it for years now. Idk what I paid. Probably still going to last for a long time yet
Heartlander · 80-89, M
I have that same feelings about wine. I 've tried a few $30 wines and found no difference from a $10 bottle
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Heartlander 15 bucks is usually where i feel like wine cant get better
GeorgeTBH · 31-35, M
I couldn't tell the difference either
Heartlander · 80-89, M
The role of name brand expensive products is to draw attention to less expensive products.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
I like the 15 dollar mechanical ones you can buy on amazon. You just pull them on and theres a latch.
