I Am Sober

I've been sober for almost 9 years, and I do not wish another drink.

But there are some foods that I eat that would taste so much better with a good beer or glass of wine.

[ @JerseyGal Thank you. I'm lucky in that I didn't have a physical dependence on alcohol. I just needed it to help with my being very shy. I'm working on that issue.

A very ironic thing about me is that I'm considered an enchanting public speaker.

I'm only shy in personal situations. I have friends that I've known for 50 years, and I'm still shy and reserved

@SW-User I completely understand. I used to be that way too. Not entirely sure what happens to change me, but I'm not shy anymore.
