I Don't Believe Soldiers Are Heroes

Soldiers are the least interesting serial killers. If you're about to lose your dignity by killing someone, at least make it impressive.

It’s hard for us Americans to see our soldiers like this. To us, they are our warriors defending us against tyranny but I’m also not blind enough to think all soldiers in the world are like that. Our soldiers are governed by very strict guidelines and codes but in some places the soldiers are little more than terrorists and criminals doing horrific things. Please understand that when a person here argues, it’s from their own perspective. We only know what we have experienced and many of us consider our warriors to be heroes. What’s the difference between a warrior and a solder you might ask?

“A Warrior knows that the ends do not justify the means. Because there are no ends, there are only means...”

@DarkHeaven I do try to understand, but as someone who tries to think outside of borders and countries, in the end it makes no sense to consider somebody else's hero as an enemy who had to get killed by your own heroes.
Thanks for offering a different perspective as well!
