Soldiers are the least interesting serial killers. If you're about to lose your dignity by killing someone, at least make it impressive.

@JaggedLittlePill If you look at all my words, rather than just some of them, I said I understand your reaction (meaning to some extent I agree), as much as I understand her point (meaning to some extent I agree). I don't imagine I'm the only person capable of understanding and that everyone else is stupid, but I am the only person who has posted ambivalently in understanding both views. That is no comment on the people who have a strong feeling about one view and have dismissed the other view after careful consideration.

@JaggedLittlePill To be absolutely clear, I think "understand" was the wrong word to use because it means both cognisance and empathy. I meant it as empathy.
