I Don't Believe Soldiers Are Heroes

Soldiers are the least interesting serial killers. If you're about to lose your dignity by killing someone, at least make it impressive.

Some of them, yes. Some join by choice, give up their humanity for the sake of nationalism..Murder others in foreign lands for natural resources and call it defense.

People don't realize that there are criminals in armies, rapists, child molesters..Just like there are criminal doctors and nurses. They glorify professions. And I think that's because they desperately need to feel righteous for voting for monsters that have no problem giving orders to soldiers and slaughter everyday normal people just like them.

They need to dehumanize the other side completely.

Others are good men and women, forced into extreme circumstances. And had to make tough calls in order to save their own lives.

@HannibalAteMeOut Oh, don't thank me. I grew up in war so it's not difficult for me to see it. It's admirable that you can and perhaps if more and more people did, we won't have to tear each other apart for stupid reasons.

@Miram I'm glad you have survived such thing and I hope this will come to an end somehow. I hate war and military provocations, even if I never had to face them myself I have been educated about them. If only every soldier realized that they have a lot more in common with the ones that they are attacking than with those who command them!
