I don’t have to look it up. I remember it as slang among African Americans for someone who understood and was aware about the history of oppression in the U.S. (and elsewhere) and how the fallout continues to affect people. We were using the term in the 70s but somehow people think it’s [b]new[/b]. And they usually get it wrong.
