Why is paying tithes so important? What if I didn't have the money?

Maybe I should ask the pastor this the next time he calls to check on me...

Why is a "blessing" connected to how much I can pay the church?

Because it says in Deuteronomy 14:22-26 that we are to give ten percent of our income to God so that way he can bless us financially. Because ten percent belongs to him. When you don't, you're robbing God from blessing you.

@Aquarius39 so if I didn't have a job, he wouldn't bless me financially?
You'd think an omnipotent God wouldn't "need" my money in order to " bless" me.

But I'm just thinking aloud. Not gonna go back and forth with anyone

@rosyhills If you don't have a job, then you don't have to worry about tithing. Because tithing comes from your income. When I was unemployed, I didn't give my tithes. But if you live on retirement or social security, then you have to give ten percent. That's what my parents do.

@rosyhills That is not true in any sense. You dont earn Blessings by buying your way in.

You will be blessed by having Faith & staying in the will of God, and through prayer. Whatever you ask for in prayer will be heard and if it's in His will, He will bless you.

The blessing is not related to any amount you contribute to a congregation. The "Tithe," is the First 10% of your earnings.(God's by right) If you're not earning, you're not Tithing.

In my church toward the end of the mass they walk around with this thing and who ever wants throws in whatever they want. I don't. Many times
Half those pastors dont even believe in god, they just want money

You don't have to give anything. You give what you determine in your heart to give. And yeah, i can back that up.

Ecactly! Don't let them guilt you out of your money.
