I Am Frustrated By Today's Fragmented Customer Service

This is what I sent to the insurance company - broken into parts and posted on Twitter, where all Twitter readers can see it.

I just want to point out what a great job Insurance Company is doing at preventing people from getting healthcare. My doctor made an appointment for me to have a test at the same facility where she works.

‪However, Insurance Company does not cover that procedure done at that facility. So I had to spend 90 minutes this morning on the phone and on the website trying to resolve this. I found a list of in-network providers, and will mail that list to my doctor, with a request for her to refer me to a place you will cover. My doctor will now have to take time out of her day to set up a referral for me at a place you approve of.

You’re doing a great job of wasting everybody’s time. If I wasn’t so stubborn, I’d give up entirely and just skip the health test. You are well on your way to fulfilling your goal of preventing people from getting healthcare. I’m sure the shareholders are pleased.
