What was the problem? What is the controversy?

My media teacher showed my class the video. To me i didnt find anyhing offensive about it. One girl said she was "disgusted" by it. I kinda laughed to myself theirs people crying over an ad being "offensive" when their are much larger problems in our world to be concerned about like idk world hunger or a war going on.

Likely, this girl in your class doesn't even know why she was disgusted by it. She was probably told to be disgusted by it by the people who took issue with it in the first place.

@UserName1234: Victim culture. A growing trend, it seems, are people who feel there is social value in being a victim; that people aren't responsible for their station in life. If one person is successful and another isn't, its because the successful person oppresses and the other was oppressed. The rich are rich because they oppress and the poor are poor because they're oppressed. Although that may be true in some instances, I certainly don't think it's institutional and consistent across society.
