I Self Medicate

What of it?

Is there really someone out there who expects me to go to the doctor every time I have a runny nose, or an ear-infection, or I can't sleep? Cause that shit ain't gonna fly. I grew up in a self-medicating household, and at least that aspect of it all worked out. I picked up the habit there and will likely continue to do so until the day I die.

I just don't see the point in wasting both my time and the time of a doctor, when I already know what's wrong. I am not some imbecile who can't self-diagnose and follow simple instuctions on a pill bottle. And I'm not moronic enough to not go to the doctor if my self medication doesn't help.

The only thing about self medicating that sucks - nosy pharmacists. Mostly they just keep their mouths shut and give you the medication you are asking for; but this is not always the case. Sometimes they feel the need to give you a hundred questions on why exactly you are buying the product that you are buying. If he is truly a qualified pharmacist... then he doesn't need me to tell him that. He'll know all about the parmaceuticals he sells. This luckilly does not happen to me that often since I am pale and frail looking. I just avoid the pharmacists that are known to be extra nosy. When that doesn't work, I stun them with MY knowledge on the product I am buying and its pharmaceutical properties. That shuts them up good :-)

Self medication is the way foward. Its so much cheaper and easier.
