I Believe In Miracles

It was mid Sunday afternoon when our neighbours showed up to visit. Husband, wife and their 4 children. We were good friends and our 4 kids loved to play with the neighbour kids. The afternoon sped by and supper time was fast approaching. I became a bit anxious. We had just enough food to feed our kids but no way we could ever feed the 6 other people. I made the excuse that I had to go to the washroom and away from the guests I went to the bedroom and opened my Bible. I began to plead with God that our guests go home so we could feed our family. My eyes fell on Matthew 14:16 which says “They do not need to go away,” Jesus replied. “You give them something to eat.”. I went back to the guests and suggested to Dear Wife that we make our traditional Sunday meal - spaghetti and meat sauce. We didn't have much spaghetti and we certainly didn't have much meat but we put on a brave face and made all we had. It was a small bowl of blended spaghetti and meat sauce but we called our guests to the table. After the blessing I said the kids could eat first. We adults could skip a meal but the kids need their food. The kids began to take huge plates of food. I asked the guests to go next and they too took very generous helpings. Expecting an empty bowl I gave it my pregnant Dear Wife who also took a very full plate. I looked into the bowl and there was enough for me too! It was delicious and I had barely started mine when the kids all wanted seconds. There was enough. The adults all complimented Dear Wife and I for making such a good meal as they too took seconds. It was really good and Dear Wife and I took seconds too. Finally full we all retired to the living room where we continued to visit until it was well past the kids' bed time. The next morning we decided to clean up the kitchen and it was then I realized the spaghetti bowl was just as full as it was when I poured the spaghetti from the cooking pots into the bowl.
