Hiw old were you back then?

That picture makes me shudder. I watched the first tower on fire and then the plane hurtle into the second one.

@SW-User That's when white lies are necessary.

@Moonpenny so two of our party did head downtown that morning. They returned to us covered in dust as they'd been walking back when the first tower fell. On one anniversary one of them tagged me on Facebook and she was more upset again.
I got an award from my company for my leadership through that week.
I got everyone on the first flight I could out of Newark and made sure at Heathrow they were all in a limo home and called each of their families to tell them they were on their way. I was last to leave with our exec director who'd come to make sure we were all OK. Some people showed who they really were.
The first guy I spoke to in UK office ended up sone years later my first aa sponsor. He was sadly murdered a bit later. He was a lovely man

Nor will I. The next day I was speaking to an elderly client who said she hadn’t been that frightened since the attack on Pearl Harbor.
It reminded us that the U.S. was more vulnerable than we’d imagined.

Thank you for sharing a photo that does not show the towers burning. I just really appreciate that! ❤️

imagine taking the elevator each day to get to work at the top floors, those buildings are a crime against humanity
