How often do you work out (weights and/or cardio)?

It's every day for me, but I don't lift weights very often. I focus primarily on cardio. I run about 2 to 3 miles each day. I haven't been able to run these past few days, as I screwed up my ankle again somehow. I've tried the elliptical and bike, too. My best bet is to stay off my foot for a few more days.

Used to exercise to excess. Was in great shape. But I wanted more. So, I went for broke and screwed up my knee, shoulder and spine. Called me Stupid.

@CereBellum I've injured myself doing the same. It's natural to want more, and sometimes we push too hard. It's just something we learn from. What happened, if you don't mind me asking?
@ArtyFischel well let’s see I had to have surgery to remove my torn meniscus . I currently have a bone spur in my shoulder as a result of grasping on to the elliptical bar for probably way too many times.
Additionally, when I would ride my bike I would end up in the ER an average of maybe three or four times a year.

@CereBellum I'm sorry you've been through all that. I hope you're not in pain and are doing well right now.
@ArtyFischel Nope. Time for shoulder surgery. It’s just so hard to go from exercising to excess, to not exercising at all. All things in moderation I suppose. Problem is, I either do it all or nothing.

@CereBellum Just take it easy! If you need motivation, I'm happy to help. ✊
@ArtyFischel Exercising too much is actually addicting and obsessive. How often would you get an endorphin rush?
ArtyFischel · 36-40, M
@CereBellum I don't seem to get it very often, but I'm also struggling with another substance right now. Maybe that could be the reason why. I'm not sure. I have felt the rush before, though, and I'm sure that can be addicting.
@ArtyFischel Substance abuse issue? Care to share. Nobody judges this type of thing anymore.

@CereBellum Yes. It's called Zaza. I buy them at the gas station. Initially, it had the same effect as Percocet for me. It was amazing. I started taking them when my wife was dying, and I'm still taking them. It's hard to stop when it's legal and available at a gas station.
@ArtyFischel they actually sell pretty decent pain meds over the counter at gas stations? How convenient.
Sorry to hear about your wife, I know how difficult it is to deal with your feelings when someone close to you dies

@CereBellum Thank you! They're not pain meds. They just have an effect like pain meds. It'll make you feel like a million bucks. Not anymore, of course, but that's how addiction works...
@ArtyFischel What does the label on them say that they are supposed to be used for?
ArtyFischel · 36-40, M
@CereBellum It only reads "Research Purposes Only."

Here's a photo of the bottle.

@ArtyFischel Looks more like energy pills. Research purposes only? Wherever you are located, it seems as if the drug laws in your country are fairly lax.

@ArtyFischel I would get off that, sounds pre workout pills filled with caffeine.
If it's for research purposes only, that means it's still not been tested on humans only rats.

Try Cardarine, it's been tested and been around for a longtime, also helps with fat loss.

@CereBellum They've discussed banning it, like they did with kratom, but I guess things aren't going to plan. It contains tianeptine, which is a pretty hefty substance.
@ArtyFischel tianeptine is a heavy duty antidepressant. Liberal country.

@CereBellum I live in Alabama, USA.
@ArtyFischel No Way.

@CereBellum Oh, yeah! It's a screwed up place, for many reasons.
