Every day. Hopefully

In distant and happy pre-plague times, when living in London I would run or cycle every day, and go to a gym 5 times a week, and swim 2 or 3 times.

These days, right now at my parents' house in the middle of nowhere, I can ride a bike, or horses, to my hearts' content, or go running without fear of being run over by anything other than a tractor - though in the last two weeks it has either been horribly wet or oppressively hot to do much more than swim in their pool and borrow my father's weights for a little toning in the sun!

I wasn't a greatly sporty teenager but got into cycling everywhere at university, partly to save time, and to keep fit, and now wouldn't be without it. When I return to London shortly I shall probably invest in a little equipment for the house, since I'm not sure I really want to go back to a gym yet if possible. Working out is important to me!

And sometimes, I even have someone to encourage me to go on a bit further!

i too am spending time with parents in countryside. it is good to be able to use the pool and hot tub, swimming in my river pond, horse riding and flying from my club. i miss the big city facilities, but they're all closed anyway! 馃檪

@Yulianna Flying too? That's so cool! I've always wanted to learn to fly!

Maybe maybe of us will discover we do not need the expensive gym memberships, but simple exercise and a few weights (or heavy books!) are all we need to stay healthy and toned!

@Persephonee i can use my university pool and gym free, if it ever opens again. i have not tried cycling, i think it would be good but not very safe in Kyiv. drivers are all mad.

flying is fun, i was fortunate, i had a course of lessons for my 16 year birthday... that is the youngest you can fly here in Ukraine.

@Yulianna Yes there are some cities I would not care to cycle in!
