How to get rid of baby fever?

I know I'm not ready mentally or financially but I still want a baby.

Picture having your baby depend on others to give them what they need instead of their own mother. Think of them growing up knowing you decided to have a baby being fully aware you couldn’t provide for them. That you put your wants ahead of their needs. Think what that would do to a person & how that could impact any relationship you may have. Love any future child you could have enough to be prepared before you bring them into this world. If being a mother is a goal of yours do everything you can now so you are able to give your family whatever they need. So that they can grow up with a model parent to look up to. That is some true sacrifice & love.

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit I don't know why I even want a child. For the longest time I didn't.

It’s biology for the most part. It comes & goes for most women. Choosing to be a parent is an important thing. They mold our future. It matters who does it & how. If you decide one day you truly want to take on that responsibility I hope you do what you’re able so that you both can enjoy the experience to the fullest. It’s too big a decision to make without real plans with action prior. Until then help out some parents who’d love a break. Use your desire as a motivation for why you want financial stability etc @fluteacorn

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit The only children I watch (due to my epilepsy) are my siblings.

The director at my first job in childcare had that condition. I know it can be difficult & even scary. 💙 @fluteacorn

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit I have to talk to so many doctors before even trying to get pregnant. That's why I always use protection plus my IUD. I am scared that I'll pass down the epilepsy and ruin a child's life too.

@fluteacorn because society pressures us into having kids. Its a norm and praised. Be careful hon and take time, if when you're older and financially well and you still want a child, go for it. Just make sure you understand a child is a big responsibility and can drain your money. Also make sure you're with the RIGHT one. You dont want a man to leave you as soon as you have the child. I understand my own mother died at 33 of a genetic condition that could show up at anytime for me or any future generations if I were to reproduce. It’s good to understand what the risks are it’s the best way to become prepared for possible realities @fluteacorn
