I Love Hockey

A lot of hockey posts so I’m jumping on too. I just got back from the Devils opening game against the Avalanche, which they won 4-1. It was amazing, I bought the tickets last minute this morning and got amazing seats, 3 rows from the ice with nothing blocking my view of the opponent’s goal. I shook hands with hockey legend Chico Resch who just became the Devils new radio announcer and it was just a great experience!

@SW-User Oh okay cool, I was born and raised(and will probably die) in New Jersey so the Devils will always be my team as long as they’re here

@SW-User I think I’ve heard that before. I’ll honestly be shocked if they’re still in Jersey 20 years from now. I love going to the games(went to one last night) but attendance is horrible

@JRVanguard I don't watch much hockey outside of my team but it seems like you guys were pretty good a few years ago I don't see why attendance would be down

@SW-User We're very divided. Most of south Jersey like the Flyers because Philly is right on the border and the rest of the area is split between Devils, Islanders and Rangers. We’ve also sucked the last 5 years but are finally good again this year so we’ll see

@JRVanguard it would be tough to have so many teams close by we don't really have that problem

@SW-User Yeah and you guys have a good team and a great community. I remember the All Star break Nashville had, it looked like such a fantastic event

@JRVanguard Tennessee doesn't have a single successful football team in state and the basketball team is in Memphis so you don't really hear much about them so we just stand behind hockey I went to game 3 and 4 of the SCF last year refs were bad but the team played good

@SW-User Oh that’s so cool you went to the Cup Finals! The Devils are all we have too, the New York Giants and Jets both play here but they won’t admit it and we lost the Nets🤷😒 so the Devils are our team
