Looking out into the void

So recently I got a telescope and have been trying it out. Tonight I was able to see Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. It's amazing some of the details you see and certainly helps you understand your place in the universe. I definitely recommend people to try it out if they can.

Sounds awesome.. which type of scope are you looking through?

@EpluribusUnum it's a Saxon refractor Telescope. It does the job.
@Laughman sweet!

@EpluribusUnum what do you have?
@Laughman I don't...but I do like looking out into space so I may grab one soon

@EpluribusUnum ok well I'm pretty happy with this one if you need a starting point for scope ideas.
@Laughman is that the first scope you've owned?

@EpluribusUnum yeah. I'm a complete novice. I just use a star guide app, point the scope and go 'wow'.
@Laughman that's so cool!

@EpluribusUnum maybe go join a star gazing club, try out some telescopes to get an idea of what you might like.
@Laughman well you said you have a star guide? Did that come with the scope?

@EpluribusUnum no I just use an app called Star chart. You point it to whatever you want to look at and it tells you what it is. Very handy and free.
@Laughman thanks for the tip

@EpluribusUnum good luck.
