Looking out into the void

So recently I got a telescope and have been trying it out. Tonight I was able to see Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. It's amazing some of the details you see and certainly helps you understand your place in the universe. I definitely recommend people to try it out if they can.
Sounds awesome.. which type of scope are you looking through?

@EpluribusUnum no I just use an app called Star chart. You point it to whatever you want to look at and it tells you what it is. Very handy and free.
@Laughman thanks for the tip

@EpluribusUnum good luck.
We recently got one as well. Looking into the depths of space stirs my imagination

@PrivateHell its a nice experience to sit in silence and watch our little section of the galaxy. What planets have you seen?
@Laughman Mars and Jupiter. Also have seen a lot of the moon. We haven't had it long

@PrivateHell yeah the moon is interesting, though I prefer when it's not around to look at other planets with less light reflected from it. If you have found Jupiter, have a look for Saturn. It's right next to it.

Has anyone tried to spot the ISS through a telescope? I can see it with the naked eye, but tracking a moving object with the telescope might be tricky.
