I Am a Student

One of my assignments is perceptions of childhood, so at the risk of causing debates, what would you say if someone asked you:
1. What is a child
2. What is childhood?

All perceptions welcome as they will all be different depending on personal experiences and understandings. 馃榾

馃檪 not a clear-cut thing. Childhood is the time of innocence and dependence. Some last a long time, some not nearly long enough. "Child" is defined by lots of things, and we don't stop being one all at once...some people in some ways never stop. Sometimes good and sometimes bad depending on what part of the child remains. A child is the center of the universe. The sphere they acknowledge is small, but what they see in that sphere is magic and wonder. Observation is keen, perception skewed as everything is seen as relating to them. From the perspective of the parent, a child is something else altogether. LOL
