I think the sun is highly overrated...

At least the moon gives a bit of light off at night.. The sun only shines in the daytime, when it's light anyway.

I think you are missing the part about giving the earth something to rotate around so we dont go hurtling through the asteroid belt into Jupiter.. That would be a bad thing.😷
