I Love Cadbury's Chocolate

Can the UK Government intervene and buy it back from the USA. Why did we ever let it go. What happened to our chunky square bars? I miss the tinfoil wrapper. 馃槙 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5431333/NHS-bans-Cadbury-bars-battle-greedy-giant.html

This government doesn't buy assets it sells them.

@GeniUs if we had Jeremy in charge of the sweet shop he might just do it, subject to Cadbury being returned to it philanthropic foundation.

There would be a chance but as with all of his other proposals, to have a state bank and energy companies, it would cost his administration but the next party in would sell it all and claim it was their policies which had created the windfall some of which finds it's way back to the voters. The majority of voters think, 'this is great' and retain them for further windfalls. The electorate demonstrates superficial thought and selfishness.

Such a shame, Cadburys, Rowntree... If we could some how recreate the garden cities of the past, house local people that work in manufacturing great British products. I suppose I'm fantasising.

Long gone, successive greedy governments since Thatcher rose (including Blair's) where they are working for themselves and not the people. Hundreds of thousands of people with an ethic of 'do nothing' rather than work. It would literally take a revolution to hit a mid ground of spending money on the people but not giving it away, to make the UK great again.
