Do guys like Stephen King and David Lynch have a normal night's sleep?

or do they wake up screaming in terror every 10 minutes? 🙅‍♀️
helenS · 36-40, F
Mr. King is a professional commercial author. He will have sleepless nights only when his most recent book won't sell ten copies.

@helenS are you a fan? It sounds like you aren't
helenS · 36-40, F
@Jm31xxx A fan of H.P. Lovecraft you mean?
Jm31xxx · 46-50, M
@helenS Well there's a bit of a difference, King seems to cater to small town Americano populism while Lovecrafts horror is more primal and visceral and universal . Imo.

They channel their inner demons onto paper, so they probably get some good sleep when they exhaust themselves pouring it out. 😂

@SW-User haa good point! 😆

I love Lynch, not so much Stephen King, which is not to say I don't respect his work, but it's rare I sleep during the night and when I do I wake up from an absurd dream. What does this say?
SW-User
@SW-User your mind processes absurdly 😉

When David Lynch dreams, he always ends up in a room with floor length red curtains for walls and a red and white zigzag pattern on the floor......
SW-User
@theAlchemist quelle horreur!!! 😩
AussieZane · 36-40, M
I'm sure there are things that would be too much for them but they obviously have a high tolerance for horror and weirdness, so no.
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
I have wondered the same lol
AussieZane · 36-40, M
@SW-User Yeah, don't think about how there might be someone with a really big knife hiding under the bed 😋
SW-User
@AussieZane I live in a secure building 😛
AussieZane · 36-40, M
@SW-User That's what they all say!
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
I think normally people like them don’t sleep for long at a time, maybe 3 hours max.
SW-User
@BackyardShaman I think you're probably right!!
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
No, they're too busy getting off on that stuff. 😬
Pfuzylogic · M
Wasn’t King in a car wreck just before he wrote Misery. I think his health was debilitated after that incident decades ago.
SW-User
@Pfuzylogic Do you mean when he was hit...I think that was well after Misery
Pfuzylogic · M
@SW-User
I stand corrected.
His wreck was in 1999.
msros · F
They make their readers do that as they are immune to horror.
SW-User
@msros yes I think you're right!!
