I Love Science Fiction

For many reasons really.....the literature and art is quite imaginative but also, the finest versions of Science Fiction can really make you think and ponder....what if?

That's what I really love about it all.....

It covers a wide range of topics..of authors....of directors....

From 'Star Wars', 'Star Trek', the writings of Arthur C Clarke, J M Barrie, 'The Hunger Games' and more.. It's just so fresh and exciting....

I tend to enjoy the genre in film more than in writing, though I've liked some of Clarke's and Asimov's novels.

@sometimeslonelytoo ...the special effects....the sound and visuals......yeah, I'd go along with that.....

In terms of films, with the exception of the MCU, the best trilogy of films for a while have been the 'Planet Of The Apes' collection....the last one from last year...

They have been sublime....

@SarahTheHooker I love Blade Runner and it's sequel most. I have only seen the first Tim Burton film from the reboot you mention.

@sometimeslonelytoo No! Not the Time Burton debacle, but the newer ones - Ride Of The Planet Of The Apes, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and War For The Planet Of The Apes......

Absolutely stunning movies!

Yee Gods! Not Tim Burton! Lol!

I grew up on Clarke and Asimov. Portland had our own Ursala LeGuin but I couldn't get thru Left Hand of Darkness.

Age doesn't mean a thing when it comes to sci-fi.
I just saw the movie. I heard it was really good.
SarahTheHooker · 26-30, F
@naughtiesfriend True, and I guess 'The Time Machine' and 'War Of The Worlds' are both well over a century old but completely timeless (pardon the pun!)

In '...Game's I felt that Jennifer Lawrence played a blunder with the part and was everything I had hoped for..

The movie was a stretch for me. but after watching the first two, I was committed, so I had to finish the series

I'm a huge Trekkie, so Star Trek would be my number one choice.
