Hike last week to Crystal Lake and the Mammoth Crest on the East Slope of the Sierra in California.

@tindrummer My sister is that way, I was in the worse part of CA.😓 In the basin area around Long Beach, Downey, Bellflower, Paramount, and even Compton! I moved there during the Watts riot! 😱 We had no idea what we were in for!Moved there first straight from the south, talk about a culture shock!

I was lucky - my 1st California experience was the Defense Language Institute in Monterey

@tindrummer Yes, Monterey is nice. I'm from North Carolina. I miss the fireflies and thunderstorms back home! 😔 *sigh*
