But I live nearly 1000metres at 52 latitude. The ice sheets only just left. We have to chase polar bears out of the classroom. Maybe I would love 7000 metres if you don’t have polar bears. @LiliHaf

A bit colder than lowlands - about 10 degrees on average. When I'm driving in or out it doesn't SEEM like you're ascending or descending - it's a gradual steady grade. This is 'high desert' so although we do get snow - it's rarely much and it doesn't last for weeks or even months like more humid climates.@LiliHaf

Ok. We can get 10 metres of snow in an hour. Like last time the college closed at 12.00 and no one told us! And the buses had gone! @Mamapolo2016
