I Hate Going To The Doctor

Well...my doctor really hit me with the hard truth this morning. She looked at my weight and she had a frown and a serious look at me and got in my face. She said, "You are 298 pounds, you are in the borderline of diabetes and you haven't been following your diet and excersizes! How can you let yourself go. I don't mean to sound brutally blunt but you're fat. You need to lose weight pronto!"
I told her I'm not fat, I'm a BBW (Big Beautiful Woman). Thick is in."
She said, "Being obese doesn't make you beautiful. Stop making excuses! You need to lose weight."
I said, "I am very average."
She shot right back to me and said, "That's because everyone else is obese/overweight! Stop with the pathetic excuses and lose the weight. Keep making excuses, then you'll be seeing me a lot."
I was so angry about what she said and stormed out after I said, "Thanks a lot!". What doctor says I'm fat?
I'm 5'10. Tall people carry the weight better (no offence to short people).

YOUR DR IS ONE HUNDRED PERCENT RIGHT.I AM STILL FAT BUT NO LONGER OBESE LOST OVER HUNDRED POUNDS SO FAR, THIS IS THE AGE OF ENABLING AND ACCEPTANCE BUT OBESITY IS NOT HEALTHY NO MATTER HOW YOU SPIN IT.
LaurieKitKat94 · 26-30, F
@texasdaddydom Yes but she was rude for saying I'm fat
texasdaddydom · 56-60, M
@LaurieKitKat94 would you prefer obese? because the term is clinically obese. I am of similar height and weigh currently 220 and still need to lose about 20. your pushing 300, I was 360 six years ago. I am not trying to be mean to you neither is she, your first sentence shows you get it really it is the truth a reality check it should not be sugar-coated. accept the fact and deal with it the sooner the better. it won't magically make your life better but it has the potential to improve it

You know, if you are fine with yourself, then keep doing what you are doing. So long as you are comfortable with dialysis every other day, the idea that you will probably have extremities amputated, the fact that the best days of your life are behind you, and you are likely to not double your current age before dying, continue doing what you are doing.

Or... Maybe. Just maybe the person who spent half of your lifetime studying the human body MIGHT know what she's talking about.

Well your doctor is right. You're almost 300lbs and that's not healthy. Don't use your height as an excuse and diabetes is a serious condition. Some people have died from that. One of my uncle's passed away from that. Do you really wanna have diabetes? You better listen to your doctor or you're going to end up with serious health problems.

@SW-User But guys don't like skinny girls but I don't want diabetes.

@LaurieKitKat94 Who cares what the guys like? Just lose weight for you and your health. Healthy is more important than being skinny. Just stop with the lame excuse and listen to your doctor.

Fungirlvape · 61-69, F

StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
I can’t believe you said bbw to your doctor. Lol
HeartlessLove · 31-35, M
@LaurieKitKat94 I love it. B.G.C. big girl city is an entrepreneur idea I'm working on. For BBWs who want to be healthier but stay thick and all the right places. Gym and restaurant in the same place. Only BBWS allowed no skinny bitches!!!!
LaurieKitKat94 · 26-30, F
@HeartlessLove I thought so. Guys find be beautiful and don't want me to lose weight.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@StevetheSleeve Yeah, bbw is a thing. Mostly used when you want to hit it. You saying it to your doctor is what made me lol.

Your weight can terrorize your knees, your back, your hips, not to mention the diabetes, lung issues...it can literally rob you of years off your life. Suggestion seems to be...change you're diet, exercise and do whatever you can.....and research anything you can think of. Your pride/denial/unacceptable is NOT worth your overall health and future......change is hard...but complacency is deadly!!

I complained about my back hurting and my legs being numb. An RN, whose ass was as wide as the exam table was long told me, "You're morbidly obese and your belt is too tight". (I'm 5'5" and 200 lbs - built like a mini fridge)

The next year I had an MRI and they discovered I have 3 discs pressing on my spine. I really wanted to see that RN again.
So you want to please people rather then have a good health? My dad was diabetic and he had a lot of problem while dealing with Parkinson. It's better to prevent it rather than suffer in future
