Snowflake Structure

A snowflake starts when water freezes into a crystal around a nucleation point (speck of dust).

Cool, sorry about the pun. I nearly got frost bite trying to photograph snowflakes and really only was able to get ice. One morning it was a little warmer and flakes easier to find. The conditions really have to be just right.
