I remember when the large Ore Carrier - Lake Illawarra - hit the Bridge pylons in 1975. 12 people died,7 on the ship, 5 car passengers when they plunged 150 feet into the Derwent River.

@cherokeepatti This picture shows perfectly the country I grew up in. Between the Airport and Mt Owen is Queenstown, deep down in the Queen River Valley far below. Which is why it is so cold there, the sun is often blocked by fog blanketing the valley, Mountains in the Winter because of it's orientation .
