How can I be a better stocker at my job? [I Hate That Feeling Of Not Being Good Enough]

It sucks when you start a new job and think it’s going fine until the store makes changes and you work from during the day shift to working the overnight shift. There are no longer day stockers so overnight is in charge of all stocking now and they get a raise so of course I took it but now my manager says I need to get better in order to keep working overnight. I felt like I was doing good enough I hate feeling like this..
Did you ask the manager what specifically you need to improve to be better? They should be able to tell you that. I'd be suspicious if they were vague in their answer. Are you not stocking fast enough, making errors, placing things in a disorganized way? What else do you have to do as a stocker?

Maybe they needed an excuse to keep you on days. It's weird because they say they don't have day stockers anymore but you wouldn't be allowed to work overnight shift so you'd be a day stocker 🤯.

This is how I was taught when I did overnight stock
Divide the aisles into like 4 foot or so chunks and then you’ll just want to make your way back and forth and go down a shelf until you’re at the bottom then move over to the next chunk starting at the bottom(cause you’re already down there) and work your way up and then repeat
Take the time to get it right the first time. Read, all the information is on the boxes. Shelf labels, tags, and UPC codes.

I deal stockers all the time. They’re often too lazy to use ladders. Being tall I can see the all shelf labels without a ladder.
I wasn't put on this earth to be an employee...

kind of why I storm off and founded my own shop, too proud to play runner up to shitlords I feel superior to and. https://similarworlds.com/7075012-I-Am-Self-Aware/3895560-Do-you-really-think-my-profession-of-being-a-toy
