I Hate Body Shaming

This is a classic example of body-shaming that happens around in our society. Fat shaming, skinny shaming and all kinds of shaming should not be tolerated. Unfortunately as a result of society's narrow beauty standards, these types of shaming are normalized, allowing people to make derogatory remarks.
This post shows how body-shaming still occurs, and it needs to stop.
Why do people feel the need to use such degrading remarks? It's absolutely appalling how people feel the need to shame others - people cannot control the way their body functions and it is not hard to have an open mind!

To anybody who struggle with self love.
To anybody who struggle with their bodies.
To anybody who has been body shamed.

You are beautiful the way you are, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

What if I tell myself otherwise? :(

@SW-User Please don't. The right person will love you for who you are.

@SW-User I've heard that so much that it just sounds like rejection at this point.

@SW-User As corny as it sounds, it has a point. Think about it this way - your looks will gradually fade as you get older. Looks are temporary. Would you want to be with someone who loves your appearance that's going to fade in ten, twenty years time? Bear in mind that they are going to lose interest in your looks within that period of time. Or would you rather be with someone who loves you for who you are, and will stick by you every last drop of minute?
SW-User
@SW-User Of course the latter. But my looks can hardly be considered attractive now, let alone in the future. And since I'm not physically attractive, nobody gives me enough of a chance to actually get to know me.

Well then that's their problem - they are just shallow. You don't need people like that in your life.
