I Wish My Brain Could Tell My Heart How to Feel

A heart that obeys no rules, that only wants to feel will get shattered time and time again. It will be covered in scars. But it will go on beating and it will go on loving because that is what brave hearts do, they feel and they love, no matter what.

I was thinking about this lately, in the aspect of the crushes I have had IRL and on SW the last few years. I get attached easily and if it comes to an end, no matter how it comes to an end, I grieve. And that is something that DH can rarely help me with.

@CoffeeFirst You grieve because it was meaningful to you. I have found what helps is to feel thankful for having had the opportunity to share a few moments with someone so special.

@diablesse You are right. I don't know if I get past the grief and sometimes confusion to get to grateful though.

@CoffeeFirst It can take a while to get there. Time is a wonderful healer. If you eventually look back, it can be with a grateful heart or with a heart that’s learned a lesson.

@ChampagneOnIce So many lessons learned! 🙄😊

@CoffeeFirst Haha. I understand. 😄🤗

@ChampagneOnIce Although there are some sitiations I want to repeat...just to make sure! Lol🥴

@CoffeeFirst I can understand that too. For me, though, once the lesson is learned I won’t go there again. However, if it’s a pleasurable experience, I do like a repeat performance or two or... ;)
